My mother's caregiver was not only of great help to my mom, but a help to me. She took my mom out and did he laundry so that my time with her wasn't spent doing laundry and running errands. My mom enjoyed the companionship and her caregiver was very kind, conscientious and dependable. The office staff was helpful and communicative. Home Instead helped my family tremendously during a sudden unexpected medical crisis. All of their Caregivers are hard-working and friendly, and most importantly willing to take constructive criticism and feedback.
The caregivers assigned to my mother had the upmost concern for her well-being. They provided excellent daily care and showed her whatever her needs might be that they were there for her. Ibrahim, Audrey, Karen, Lane, and April have all been very accommodating. I appreciate that someone is always available, 24 hours, every day. As with any staffing, some personalities mixed better with me than others. Home Instead were life savers in making sure our uncle had eyes on him in the hospital while we were taking care of our aunt & trying to furnish a memory care room for him. For the family, this was an emotional time and expectations, like it would be for most love ones, were perhaps unreasonably high. I can't say there were not bumps along the way but with hand on heart can say Ibrahim and team ALWAYS did everything possible to quickly resolve them. Their responses with us were timely and corrective actions were always resolved to our saticfaction. The ladies that took care of our mom became friends to her and in her final days were noticeable sadden by what was to come. More stars mean a better level of staffing per resident. I use for transportation and support to doctors and medical appointments when family is unable to take me. I have gotten along well with each one that has come out. Only thing I would like to have done is a call confirming they have a specific person scheduled so I don’t feel anxious.
